Richard T. Barker Friends of the Library
"Every department on campus, every professor, every student, benefits greatly by a healthy, forward-thinking library. I can't imagine anything more vital to the success of a collegiate institution than its library. " - Craig Popelars '89 Library Advisory Board Member and Friend
The University Library – Resources
Belk Library and Information Commons is the academic hub of Appalachian State University. It provides invaluable resources and services to more than 1.3 million visitors each year. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and community members enjoy access to expert research guidance, electronic databases, books, journals, magazines and films, as well as state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
Join the Friends. Make a difference!
The Richard T. Barker Friends of the Library is a loyal group of donors committed to supporting the library's educational and outreach efforts. Their many goals include the acquisition of important new materials for library collections, presenting an annual summer author series and offering year-round outreach programs and services to Appalachian's students, as well as the many other populations served by the library.
